Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of PlusPlus (the "Service"), a Slack app that tracks karma points awarded between members of a Slack workspace. By installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a workspace or organization, you confirm you have authority to do so.
The service
PlusPlus listens for ++ and -- mentions in channels it has been invited to,
maintains per-user karma totals, and responds to the /leaderboard and /settings
commands. The Service is provided free of charge.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service in violation of any law or of Slack's own terms and policies;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
- use the Service to harass others or to store or transmit unlawful content.
You are responsible for how members of your workspace use the Service.
Availability
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. It is offered for free with no service level agreement: there is no guarantee of uptime, and it may be changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice. Karma scores are best-effort and are not a system of record.
Data and privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data is stored and how to request its deletion.
No warranty
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of PlusPlus will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Because the Service is provided free of charge, the operator's total aggregate liability is limited to AUD $0. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including the Australian Consumer Law.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by removing PlusPlus from your Slack workspace. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, including for misuse or to retire the Service. Removing the app revokes the stored bot token; see the Privacy Policy for data deletion.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in New South Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service.
