Getting started
- Install: click Add to Slack on the home page and approve the requested permissions.
- Invite the bot to a channel: run
/invite @plusplusin the channel where you want karma tracked. - Award karma: mention someone followed by two or more pluses —
@sam ++. Use--to dock karma. - See standings: run
/leaderboardfor the all-time scores in your workspace.
Common questions
Why didn't my ++ register?
A few rules apply: you need at least two symbols (+ alone does nothing), you can't award or
dock your own karma, and each message moves a score by at most ±5. Make sure the bot has been invited to
the channel with /invite @plusplus.
Can I change where the bot replies?
Yes. Use /settings reply_mode thread to keep replies in a thread, or
/settings reply_mode channel to post them in the channel.
How do I remove the app or delete our data?
Remove PlusPlus from Settings & administration → Manage apps in your Slack workspace; this revokes the bot token. To have your workspace's stored data (karma counters, settings, and the stored token) deleted, email contact@pluspluskarma.dev and we'll remove it. See the privacy policy for details on what is stored.
